A panafrican C Band coverage offers a full interconnectivity of the African continent and associated islands with the south of Europe and the Middle East. The EIRP is 37 dBW (worst case).
A Ku band multi-spot coverage covering the whole African continent including islands provides the necessary power and bandwidth to support services involving reception and transmission by small satellite terminals (integrated telephony or TV receive only). This coverage has been optimised to ensure that a country is covered by a single spot and to provide better antenna performance in areas where transmission is handicapped by severe rain attenuation. The EIRP is 51 dBW for integrated telephony services and 49 dBW for audio/video broadcasting.
